How the Bad Beat Jackpot works: What is a “Bad Beat” in the first place? In poker terminology, a “Bad Beat” occurs when a really great hand loses to a super amazing hand! For example, let’s say you have AA and your opponent has KK. Pre-flop, you’ve got the statistical edge. Bad Beat Jackpot is triggered when a very good hand is beaten by a better one. The list of the hands that need to be beat in order for the jackpot to be paid can be found in the terms and conditions bellow. To trigger the jackpot at least 3 players must be dealt at the beginning of the hand and you’ll need to use both of your pocket cards for.

Please, note that in order to trigger the jackpot the player must use both of his hole cards to create the highest possible hand. Also, there’s an additional requirement for players with one of the following combinations: Four Of a Kind, Three Of a Kind, Two Pair, Pair. Players with combinations from the list above must have a pocket pair (when two of the player’s hole cards make a pair) to win the jackpot.

Another requirement to win the jackpot is to show cards. If the player who was supposed to win the jackpot decided to muck or win without showing his cards, he/she will not be awarded the jackpot. For Bad Beat Jackpot both the winner and the person with Bad Beat hand must show their hole cards.

Loser’s Part: The part of the total jackpot that the player with the losing hand receives.

Beat

Winner’s Part: The part of the total jackpot that the player with the winning hand receives.

All Players: This is the part that players sitting at other Bad Beat Jackpot tables will win divided among them.

Table Players: This is the part of the jackpot that players sitting at the Bad Beat Jackpot table will win divided among them.

Room fee: This is the fee kept by the poker room.

The remaining amount is left in the jackpot pool.

  4. Jackpot contributions will be taken automatically at a rate of $0.04 per $1 in the pot.

  5. The contribution will only be taken from Bad Beat Jackpot tables.

  6. The Bad Beat is only available on hands where 4 or more players are dealt into the hand.

  7. The hand must rake a total of $1.00 to qualify.

  8. Both hole cards must be included in the Bad beat hand, as well as in the winning hand.

  9. The Bad Beat Jackpot will be divided among the players according to the table listed above.

  10. The hand must go to a showdown in order to qualify for the prize.

  11. Players sitting at multiple bad beat tables will only get one prize. Players who are sitting out on a BBJ table when the jackpot is hit will not qualify for a share of BBJ prize.

  12. Rounder Casino management’s decision is final regarding the authenticity of a “Bad Beat”.

  13. In case of a dispute, the decisions made by Rounder Casino will be final.

  14. Terms and Conditions can be changed at any time by Rounder Casino management.

  • All cash tables qualify for the promotion.
  • 5% of all Community Contributions generated at cash game tables will go to BBJ.
  • In order for a hand to be included in BBJ:
    • At least 3 players must receive cards at the start of the hand.
    • Hand must go to a showdown.
    • It must be the first run of the community cards - in case of run it twice, only the first run qualifies.
    • Both winning and losing players must use two of their hole cards to make the qualifying combination. In case of four of a kind, the two hole cards must make a pocket pair.
  • The minimum requirements for the losing hand will change according to game type:
    • No Limit Holdem
      • AAAKK or better
    • PLO
      • Straight flush
    • 5PLO
      • Straight flush (3-7) or better
  • The percentage of BBJ that will be paid out will vary depending on stakes and game type:
    • Stakes: 0.01/0.02 – NLH: 2,5%; PLO: 1,25%; 5PLO: 1%
    • Stakes: 0.02/0.05 – NLH: 5%; PLO: 2,5%; 5PLO: 2%
    • Stakes: 0.05/0.10 – NLH: 10%; PLO: 5%; 5PLO: 4%
    • Stakes: 0.10/0.25 – NLH: 25%; PLO: 12,5%; 5PLO: 10%
    • Stakes: 0.25/0.50 – NLH: 50%; PLO: 25%; 5PLO: 20%
    • Stakes: 0.50/1 and above – NLH: 100%; PLO: 50%; 5PLO: 40%
  • Once BBJ conditions are met, the total payout will be shared among the players at the table in the following manner:
    • 50% will go to the loser of the hand (loser‘s share).
    • 20% will go to the winner of the hand (winner‘s share).
    • 20% will be shared among all the remaining players that were dealt cards at the start of the qualifying hand (table‘s share).
    • 10% will be used to seed the bad beat jackpot.
  • In case two or more players meet the requirements of winner‘s share, the player holding the better hand will be paid out the winner‘s share and the worse of the two hands will be paid out table‘s share. In case both player‘s hold the same hand, the winner‘s share will be split evenly between the qualifying players.
  • In case two or more players meet the requirements of loser‘s share, the player holding the better hand will be paid out the loser‘s share and the worse of the two hands will be paid out table‘s share. In case both player‘s hold the same hand, the loser‘s share will be split evenly between the qualifying players.
